Membership

DC Road Runners is a chapter of the Road Runners Club of America. For well over fifty years, the club has provided the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia running communities with resources and services to support health and fitness for all age groups and abilities.

Runners of all ages and speeds are invited to join DC Road Runners. As our motto goes: come run with us! We’ll be happy to have you.

Membership Types and Fees

We offer two membership types:

Individual and Student ($35 annually for individuals and $25 for students)
Family ($50 annually—all members must live in the same household and must be related by birth, marriage, or other legal relationship)

Memberships run from December 1-November 30 of each year. If you join on or after May 31, your expiration date is November of the following year. For example:

Join by May 31, 2025: membership expires on November 30, 2025
Join on or after May 31, 2025: membership expires on November 30, 2026

Membership Benefits

DC Road Runners members are provided with:

four standing group runs each week
two annual race series (winter and summer) consisting of 14-16 free races, annually
low-cost training programs for the ten-mile, half marathon, and marathon distances
book club meetings, happy hours, and other social opportunities
regular club newsletters advertising DCRR events and running resources
a supportive running environment
